Tulips v2 …

Tulips v2 …

Tim and I set ourselves a challenge yesterday – find some flowers (or a single flower) and take a photo.
Simple, straightforward … or so it would seem. I had a shot in mind, but couldn’t find the flower I wanted, so had to make do with some tulips!
It wasn’t difficult!!

On the weekend Tim and I travelled west – to the Otways.
We stumbled across some giant Californian Redwoods, found our way to Hopetoun Falls, travelled on to the 12 Apostles for sunset, then waited a bit longer till the sun was almost gone.

Tim and I love to go a-wandering, along a mountain track … and if we can’t find one of those, we drive west for miles until we stumble upon a forest.
Yesterday we stumbled upon sequoia redwoods near Beech Forest in the Otways.
Living in the city means that getting amongst the trees is particularly special – and what a special place this was!

Too much excitement – only two more sleeps till we get to hang out together again!

Lurking at the foot of a tree was this little delight. I couldn’t find any elves or woodland folk living under it though.

There weren’t many flowers at the National Rhododendron Garden on the weekend, but I did manage to stumble across this one, hidden in the shrubbery. If you know what it is, can you please let me know in the comments? Thanks 🙂
