A moment of stillness in the otherwise (very) busy Bourke St mall.

A moment of stillness in the otherwise (very) busy Bourke St mall.

Laugh, Kookaburra, laugh, Kookaburra,
Gay your life must be!
[Lyrics by Marion Sinclair, 1932]

Just catching the late afternoon sunshine …

In the city this afternoon. A laneway. A nook. Red light.

On this day six years ago I married Tim (this is him). The absolute love of my life. What a man!

Sometimes the backs are more interesting than the fronts. Sometimes they’re easier to get to!

One rainy morning (and let’s face it, there are plenty of them in Melbourne) and this plant poked out its tongue to gather some water.

A spring flower to brighten your day. This was taken one cloudy Sunday morning …

The arum lily … also known as the funeral flower.

I’ve not been out and about much lately, so this flower is from the archive. This was shot in the ‘studio’ (aka the spare room with lights squished in where we can fit them).
