On the weekend Tim and I travelled west – to the Otways.
We stumbled across some giant Californian Redwoods, found our way to Hopetoun Falls, travelled on to the 12 Apostles for sunset, then waited a bit longer till the sun was almost gone.

Tim and I love to go a-wandering, along a mountain track … and if we can’t find one of those, we drive west for miles until we stumble upon a forest.
Yesterday we stumbled upon sequoia redwoods near Beech Forest in the Otways.
Living in the city means that getting amongst the trees is particularly special – and what a special place this was!

Too much excitement – only two more sleeps till we get to hang out together again!

Lurking at the foot of a tree was this little delight. I couldn’t find any elves or woodland folk living under it though.

There weren’t many flowers at the National Rhododendron Garden on the weekend, but I did manage to stumble across this one, hidden in the shrubbery. If you know what it is, can you please let me know in the comments? Thanks 🙂

A trip to the Rhododendron Garden in the Dandenong Ranges today – no flowers out yet, but some wonderful colours in the trees.

Two of my grandsons (cousins) hanging out in December last year at our last family wedding.
Next week they’re going to be hanging out together again for the next family wedding!
Seriously can’t wait!!
